With support coming from Norman Nodge, Forward Strategy Group, Tommy Four Seven, Len Faki, Tiga, Sinden and more, Fifth Wall‘s latest release came yesterday in the form of Physical Therapy‘s ‘Yes I’m Elastic’ EP. Expertly fusing gritty analog techno with playful, eccentric quirks and tweaked out samples of the artist’s own voice, the release marks their first on the Brooklyn-based imprint. The EP ranges from tough and unyielding, as in the title track and ‘World on Fire’ to effervescently weird in I Did’, in which the artist intones a literal take on killings his idols. Meanwhile, Turbo and Pennyroyal associate J. Tijn remixes the tune, laying Physical Therapy’s original vocals over overdriven kick drums and warehouse crisp percussion.
