DJ Khaled has been receiving heavy backlash today after pulling the sneaky and ripping off indie-band Creep for his latest track ‘Murceilago (Doors Go Up)’.
The latest track from his recent album ‘Suffering from Success’ -oh the irony- , the track is uncannily similar (*cough* direct rip *cough*) to the three-year-old ‘Days’, a tripptastic electro-pop offering from Brooklyn-based CREEP.
A disappointing revelation by audiences, not even Khaled’s swaggerin’ gold chains and mid-track ‘woo!’ can redeem him from what is some pretty obvious plagiarism. Tsk, tsk.
Half of the Creep duo, Lauren Flax responded on Twitter this morning;
an uncleared sample indeed RT @_J_Crue_ @laurenflax did you ghost produce @djkhaled – “murcielago” or did they rip “days”?

DJ Khaled contrastingly took to the twitter-sphere with…absolutely no mention of the issue. Instead offering snippets of wisdom at 45-minute intervals, such as this little gem.
I AM THE #HOLYGRAIL

Sigh. Compare the tracks/listen to the atrocity for yourself below.
