Somebody get me a SNES and tie dye sweater, hello 90’s meets now! Melé has generously created a 12 track video game-themed original mixtape titled ‘Melé Vanelé Volume 2’ where there is a bonus level in all 12 songs being available for free download.

My immediate reaction to listening to the mixtape was putting a bet on him actually playing Grant Theft Auto V right now. My second thought was Melé has clearly spent a lot of time fighting the forces of evil and soaking up the soundscape, be it in 8, 16 bit or latest console games. It’s like the grime and bass world has been melded with classic video game swag.

“I’ve been planning a video game themed mixtape for a while now and recently things seemed to come together naturally. The music is just a little bit of what I have been working on in the last year and what you can look forward to on my next EP – hope you enjoy!”
