Mau5trap to Release ‘We Are Friends Vol. 2’ With Two New Deadmau5 Tracks

Deadmau5’s Mau5trap label will release ‘We Are Friends’ Vol. 2 – the second compilation from the label that brings together budding talent from the developing roster and also includes some of Deadmau5’s newer material “Your Ad Here” and “Suckfest9001” that has been part of a Soundcloud uploading spree over the last two months.

If that wasn’t enough Mau5 for you his collaborative project with Steve Duda as BSOD also makes a feature with their banger “Super Breakfast”. More on the label side of things comes the announcement of a strategic partnership between Astralwerks Records and deadmau5 following his split from Ultra Records – each are credited with pioneering the genre’s evolution from esoteric subculture to its undeniable place in mainstream culture today. In their exciting new partnership, Astralwerks will be the U.S. home to future deadmau5 artist releases and the exclusive distributor and label partner for deadmau5’s imprint mau5trap recordings. This two-tiered agreement, encompassing both deadmau5 as a signed artist for the U.S. and as a global label partner with mau5trap, is the first of its kind for Astralwerks.

Drama is never far for the Mau5 as he balances his work and drama with a few coffee runs in his Ferrari with Zedd, Flo Rida’s Beamz, that $200,000 Bon Jovi request, snubbing a Canadian MTV nomination and more recently telling Justin Beiber to “grow the f@&k up”.

Pre-sales will kick off October 22nd while officially it’ll be on-sale November 11th.

Deadmau5 will also be playing Future Music Festival 2014 alongside Knife Party, Chase & Status, Rudimental, Kaskade, Porter Robinson and more.
