It wasn’t long ago the internet had a collective laugh at Flo Rida’s ‘DJ Technology’ Beamz that allowed any sort of skill set to perform on their laser controller. Fans of the ‘leading tech’ were thin and far between while naysayers were plentiful, including the big cheese himself Deadmau5 who took the ‘Beamz’ for a ride and eventually trashing it – probably not the greatest endorsement  the company had in mind.

Beamz unsurprisingly have taken a direct shot back at the Mau5trap label owner coining the phrase ‘Even A Mouse Can Play’ during a short promo video – an obvious jib and attack on Deadmau5′ own skill set.

The video plays out to a terrible Flo Rida track but the character playing looks famously like Mr Zimmerman all the way up to the obvious shot of what could be the lower-half of his famous mouse ears.

Although Beamz stand more to generate a buzz from this it still seems quite petty to continue a rather non-senisical argument. Buyers of Beamz, if they exist certainly aren’t going to find themselves headlining festivals or ‘owning’ the clubs anytime soon.

It certainly hasn’t been a quiet 6 months for Deadmau5 with a string of incidents  leading him to tell Justin Beiber to “grow the f%&k up”, making buddies with a talented artistic kid and turning the DJ Mag Top 100 list into his punching bag. There was new music though his his label Mau5trap releasing a Volume 2 of artists on his roster including two new tracks from Joel.
