Disclosure Speaks Out On Controversial Music Video Take Down

disclosure

Disclosure have been in damage control after they released a music video for their latest single ‘Settle’ that has received a lot of scrutiny due to the sensitive nature of the content.

The video that follows a young crew as they have a ‘Skins’ (UK TV show) style trip (in both senses of the word) in a trademark London double decker bus was taken down only days after release after numerous public complaints.

In the recent interview with publication ‘Revolt’ shown below, the Lawrence brothers explain how the video “doesn’t contain any drug using at all” but did admit to the video having an underlying “sense of euphoria”. This comment in particular contradict the reports from those who watched the video with viewers saying there is a kiss in which 2 people exchange a pill from tongue to tongue.

We feel that if a person can watch an episode of Breaking Bad, Skins, Weeds, why does Disclosure’s video have to cop this kind of scrutiny when the glorification of drugs already exists in mainstream television?
