Deco – Timescales LP [Deceast]

Currently sitting at #3 on the Juno deep dubstep charts, Deco‘s ‘Timescales’ LP out on his own imprint cites the likes of Metalheadz and Good Looking as core inspirations, and while his approach is very much on an icy, stripped-back tip, the new album makes him appear far more London-esque than his hometown of LA.

A 13-track journey through the depths of dubstep relaxation, his debut full-length finds him at his deepest and most creative, and the seventeenth Deceast label release is certainly its most brilliant despite hosting artists like Atlantic Connection, Bro Safari, NumberNin6, Mesck and Edgewood. From the beautfiully constructed ‘Skyline 3040’ easing your ears into a halfstep dream, to the ethereal smoke session vibes of ‘Late Night Fading’ carrying the listener into the proper West Coast funk-drenched dub vibes of ‘Cali Trunk Rattle’, and back to the solace of an unmarked warehouse emitting nothing but the grittiest deep-tech house vibes as heard in ‘Power Transfer’ – it’s all there.

Timescales’ = Timeless. Get to know it below.
