Daft Punk Deluxe Box Set Rolls Off the Production Line

After hinting the release of the deluxe package last week, Daft Punk have revealed the release of a Random Access Memories deluxe box-set that will get any Daft Punk fan foaming at the mouth. The release comes as no surprise unlike the news that Daft Punk ranked in at No.22 in the annual DJ Mag Top 100 poll, having not played a single set all year.

The box-set is presented in a cloth-bound, gold-foiled 13″x 13″ box, which includes special edition 180 gram double vinyl with gold and silver foil labels, a 56-page hardcover book of images from the from album’s recording sessions, and a 10” collectors vinyl containing an extended interview with Giorgio Moroder taken from the recordings of the song ‘Giorgio by Moroder’.

The collectors item also includes a 70mm film strip containing 5 frames from the ‘Lose Yourself to Dance’ dailies, design schematics for the Robot helmets, and USB drives containing the album’s audio and video components. The box set is going for AU $299 and will begin shipping in early December. For more details and to pre-order it, head over to Daft Punk’s website.
