Synthesadness: RIP Little Phatty

Today, we remember.

Moog Music, former stomping ground of the late electronica enthusiast and tripper grand-daddy Bob Moog has announced that the Little Phatty analogue synthesiser will be discontinued.

One of the last designs from Dr. Moog, who kicked it in 2005, the Little Phatty quickly became the ‘it’ product for synth fans the world over.

Limited quantities will be available to the purists for around two months, Moog has also released a documentary short for memory purposes, the final nail in the Little Phatty coffin.

Moog music will still be toting badly-named-but-nonetheless-quality synth products such as the ‘minimoog’, ‘sub-fatty’ and ‘multimoog’.

Here’s to the golden years y’all. Little Phatty, we hardly knew ye.
