Stream Trentemøller’s new Album ‘Lost’

Danish electronic legend Trentemøller is set to return with his third album ‘Lost’ later this month, following on from 2011’s remix collection. It’s certainly more band-orientated than his sterling 2010 LP ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’, and the 12 tracks are said to be a “great big fuck you to whatever genre you thought you had him boxed into” as so eloquently put in a recent presser accompanying initial album details. Coming out on his own In My Room imprint, he explains how important a producer’s diversity is;

“people wanted something similar to the last album, but if you’re getting to the point of listening to people and what they think of your sound…well, that’s not for me.”

Without a fear of alienating fans, ‘Lost’ seems an all too appropriate title for a record that will be pushed out into new untapped soundscapes. It features US indie-rock band Low, Jonny Pierce of The Drums and even Sune Rose Wagner of The Ravoenettes, proving his gradual distancing from purely electronic music since 2006’s ‘The Last Resort’ LP.

Before its official release on September 23, you can stream it here via Pitchfork Advance and pre-order it here on iTunes.
