Peking Duk: September Chart 2013

Peking Duk have shared their September Chart ahead of performances at Australian festivals Fat As Butter and Big Day Out. The pair recently also dropped a thrust-happy video for their latest single “Feels Like” that included vocals from Miami Horror singer Josh Moriarty, with the band actually hinted to be playing Groovin The Moo’s dance parties ‘The Plot’ in Sydney and Melbourne.

The boys chart most definitely channels more club vibes with DJ Snakes ‘trap banger’ remix of AlunaGeorge, homegrown heroes The Aston Shuffles re-take on The Knocks, German tech head Mason and even Cosmo’s Midnight’s “The Dofflin” that features on our free compilation – Stoney Roads ‘Volume One’, all making the cut.

It doesn’t matter what mood you’re in, chances are we’ll have a streamable chart for you. Give charts from PaleNina Las VegasHayden JamesLight YearOisima and Beni a whirl.

1. AlunaGeorge – You Know You Like It (DJ Snake Remix)
DJ Snake’s remix of AlunaGeorge – You Know You Like It. I really love the subtleties of this tune. It definitely has the drums, and to an extent the party vibes of a ‘trap banger’, but is held together completely with it’s own emotion… So dope for Sundaysesh playlists and for the car.

2. Astronauts – Sadie
This tune ended up on one of my car playlists 3 of months ago and I forever knew it as track 5.. This has very quickly become one of my all time favourite songs. The only tune where I can’t go a full day without listening to it, at the moment. Very eager to hear lots more ‘Astronauts, etc’ in future!

3. The Knocks feat. St Lucia – Modern Hearts (The Aston Shuffle Remix)
Bangin new remix from The Aston Shuffle. These dudes have influenced us so so much over the last few of years, right back to when we first started making music!

4. Supafly – Happiness (Full Intention Remix)
Full Intention made this remix over a year ago but I feel this song can’t go unmentioned. Has the style and sound that Adam and I are all about.. Defs a favourite of ours to play in Peking Duk sets.

5. Mason – Grotto (Origina Mix)
Mason is one of those consistent producers that can literally pump out tracks like it’s nothing.. Grotto is one of his recent tracks that I fell in love with immediately. Dark, bouncy and loads of fun!

6. Stubborn Heart – Do Tomorrow
This tune may feel a little off topic but, I could genuinely listen to it over and over and over. Filled with complex melodies throughout however as a listener, it is simple earsex.

7. Alan Braxe – Time Machine (Mr Gonzo Remix)
Mr Gonzo. First tune I had heard from this dude and instantly I was a Gonzo fan. This track has been a solid influence over the last few months..

8. Cosmo’s Midnight – The Dofflin
Bit o Sydney lovin right here.. Cosmo’s Midnight had us hooked on their sound with the song Phantasm that featured the vocalist Nicole Millar. Eyes are certainly on these guys.

9. Peking Duk – Feels Like
This is our most recent original single, we made a pretty hilarious music video for it as well. The vocals are from Josh Moriaty from Miami Horror and DCUP helped pull it all together.

10. Bipp – Sophie
cute, bouncy, and eccentric as fuck. love it
