Produced only with “a bunch of equipment thrown into a small bedroom”, Moby‘s eclectic new record ‘Innocents’ is available to stream now before its official release. Coming out on Mute, it’s the electronic and pop icon’s eleventh studio album and features a stack of collabs from the likes of Mark “Spike” Stent – who’s worked alongside Madonna, U2, Muse, Björk and Massive Attack – Wayne Coyne from The Flaming Lips, Skylar Grey – who co-wrote and performed in Eminem and Rihanna‘s ‘Love The Way You Lie’ – and indie-folk singer Damien Jurado.
‘Innocents’ is at some points overwhelmingly sad – even the ostensibly upbeat tracks have a melancholy core – so at just over an hour long, it’s quite an emotional ride. But as you listen to the tunes one by one, you’ll realise that it’s not such a bad thing. Out October 1.
