Mark Pritchard – Lock Off EP [Warp]

‘Lock Off’ is Mark Pritchard’s second EP release of three before a full length album on Warp drops in early 2014. Out now on Warp, the release is a ruff ‘n’ tuff selection of Pritchard productions exploring a 160/80bpm axis of footwork, jungle and rave. Lead track ‘1234’ features influential emcees Ragga Twins, a nod to ‘90s influences impacting contemporary sounds.
Mark Pritchard has previously been known under many guises – most recently Africa Hi-Tech, Harmonic 313, and Harmonic 33. All his production styles have now come together under one name. As Mark told FACT Magazine in July this year:

“I write different styles of music all the time and they didn’t necessarily fit the project that was happening at that moment. By using my name it leaves me open to releasing more diverse styles of music at any point, not just having to wait for the correct project.”

Clearly evident here! Take a listen to lead single ‘1234’ below. FIRE!
