Klaves – What I Like EP [Symbols]

Poland’s Klaves released his ‘What I Like’ EP last week on the Symbols imprint, said to “effortlessly blend garage and deep house with a very stripped down and relaxed vibe.”

If you are looking for over saturated booming bass, turn around now. A majority of his tunes lack that certain grittiness; instead, an overwhelming cleanliness and soul sweeps across his soundscapes. Mikolaj Gramowsky has hopped on the UK house and garage train, but incorporates things like airy synths, pianos, unorthodox effects, and cow bells to make up originals. The release houses remixes from  Chicago’s Different Sleep who changes up the vibe entirely with a dark, 808 driven remix, while Symbols regular Figgy returns with a blessed up remix of ‘Right Here’.
