John Talabot is set to join the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Digitalism and Gold Panda in mixing the next DJ-Kicks release through !K7 Records on October 28th.

DJ Kicks is traditionally a compilation curated by some of the biggest names in dance music with each including an exclusive track featured by the producer somewhere in the duration. The news comes just ahead of Talabots appearance at Australia’s Listen Out party’s alongside Duke Dumont, Disclosure, Classixx and more where we could be privvy to hearing what’s in store for the mix later this year.

What can we expect from the compilation in terms of his track selection?

In a recent chinwag, Talabot told with Mixmag:”I thought that it would be good if people could discover what my influences are, where I’ve come from, the people that I admire and tracks that have been important to me over the last ten years, plus some tracks on my label that have never been released.”

With an air of mystery surrounding the mix, our excitement is heightened as we are set to reminisce with the man himself as he reflects on 10 years of his own personal electronic history.
