Cattleyard Promotions, the guys behind the always excellent Groovin The Moo National Festival are looking to kick off ‘The Plot’ a self-described ‘exciting new party in Sydney and Melbourne that will put the Tron in electronic and the dance in your pants.’

Aside from the slightly cheesy by-line we can’t help but support any step towards dedicated electronic parties in Australia, sort of what the guys at Fuzzy are dong with Listen Out (who just released set times), the Outsidein festival and other more boutique happenings CC Strawberry Fields, Rainbow Serpent, Subsonic, Let Them Eat Cake etc etc

Is there a trend of festivals on the way out and smaller, refined parties taking place?

There isn’t much to go on aside from the December dates, Saturday 14th for Sydney at Luna Park and Sunday the 15th at Melbournes Palace Theatre and Ding Dong Lounge but they have given a little hint in the way of page ‘likes’ with Groovin The Moo getting the tick (duh) as well as the ‘Flerm’ page and return-ees Miami Horror, who have signalled a new album and single.
