The Year of the Noize

Boys Noize (aka Alex Ridha) is well known for bringing the unexpected towards both his music and his live performances.

Continuing to embrace his rise from a small-town DJ to internationally recognised producer, artist and label owner; Boys Noize is set to grace our shores for the second time this year at Stereosonic. Hosting one of the biggest lineups in Australian EDM history (and now spread over two days) Stereosonic has delivered with acts such as Jamie Jones, Afrojack and Clockwork who will be rubbing elbows with some homegrown local Aussie talent such as Flight Facilities and What So Not.

Fans and budding festival-goers should be expecting something new, different and fresh – with Boys Noize stating in a recent interview “There’s nothing exciting about playing everything people want to hear… I would give up DJing if I had to play ‘the hits’ all the time.”

Following a massive performance at Future Music Festival earlier this year and more recently teaming up with Skrillex under the title ‘Dog Blood’ at Coachella has made Boys Noize a definite festival standout; with his live show tailored to suit the original tracks he created and produced.

Undeniably this man has plenty of talent, with that comes added pressure and excitement for the high prospects of his next show, hence studio time has become paramount to his success. You know what they say – pressure makes diamonds (and now bangers). Here’s a clip that gives an insight into where the magic happens for the Berlin-based producer and DJ.

Enjoy!
