Nina Last Vegas: August Club Chart 2013

Number one lady of the Australian airwaves Nina Las Vegas has shared her August ‘Club Chart’ with Stoney ahead of the National Triple J ‘House Party’ Tour featuring Flight Facilities, Wave Racer, Cassian and more. She’ll also be popping bottles to celebrate the release of Triple J’s ‘House Party’ Volume Two, a compilation that includes a buzzing selection of hot jams from Gesaffelstein, Rudimental, Major Lazer, What So Not and a heap more.

Aside from the ridiculously slammed lineup for the tour and bustling comp comes ten of Nina’s must-listens for the month, something that proves she’s probably got better taste than you with a tidy selection of Australian talent via Yahtzel and Ta-Ku but is spliced with slightly rawer cuts from A$AP Ferg, Lil Silva and Lone.

Either way you look at it, it’s a hellishly fun 45 minute escape to your day…. oh and while your at it be sure to stream charts from Light Year, Oisima and Beni.

Triple J House Party Tour dates and deets here.

1. A$AP Ferg – Hood Pope
I am very excited about Ferg’s LP ‘Trap Lord’. Everything he’s released so far has been dope, however the hook in ‘Hood Pope’ has this melancholy beauty about it. Monotone singing is the BEST, right?

2. Lil Silva – No Doubt (Feat. Rosie Lowe)
This is my equal 1st favourite from Lil Silva’s new EP ‘Distance’. (Obviously it ties with the Sampha collab.)

3. Ghost Town DJ’s – My Boo (Wave Racer Remix)
I’m all about this Sydney producer’s original work, however this bootleg just gets me. EVERYTIME.

4. Ta-ku – I Miss You
I feel like every morning I wake up to a new Ta-ku track on Soundcloud. Although there have been 50 more uploads since this track (chill the eff out Reggie pls), I keep returning to this SIA sounding jam.

5. RATTRAPS – U4EA
Not only is this guy from Brisbane, he’s playing at Listen Out (thanks to triplej Unearthed!) But real talk, anything that reminds me of juke has my vote.

6. Jimmy Edgar – Strike
This is a little old (3 months), however it still sounds so damn good LOUD in da clurrrrb. (Side note, it’s also on the new House Party compilation!)

7. Lone – Airglow Fires
All this nice Sydney weather makes me listen to this track on repeat. And I have.

8. BANKS – WAITING GAME (Prod. By SOHN)
Dark and weird, just how I like my ballads.

9. Yahtzel – High With Me
I played a gig with Yahtzel a few months ago and then witnessed him super hungover slash struggling the next day. I’m gunna think of that every time I play this.

10. His Majesty Andre – Sunshine ft Anna Lunoe
A banger/big room collab from two of my favourite babes. I love how much Anna’s top line is tuned down and how quirky the groove is. It’s off kilter but still so strong.
