An artist shrouded in mystery, Britain’s Friend Within has just released The Renegade EP, making it the first release for Disclosure‘s newly formed Method Records.

It’s likely – if you’re up with it – that you haven’t been able to escape ‘Renegade Master Refix’ by Friend Within since the chart-topping duo dropped it in their XLR8R podcast earlier this year. Hammered by Radio 1s B.Traits and Monki and played by everyone including Breach, Eats Everything and Skream, it now sees a full release with three other fresh tunes; all seeing the best side of UK garage.  After first releasing the mesmerizing floor filler The Game back in February via Dirtybird, the abstruse musician has been causing quite a stir in a very cunning, behind-the-scenes manner; one can only guess as to whom this alias pertains to. Up there with the best house music this year.
