Garnishing a thick slab of bass and synthesisers with skittering percussion and warped vocal samples, Druid Cloak delivers another intriguing yet danceable track. At the core of ‘Amethyst’, Druid Cloak is using a palette of sounds native to deep house, but the way in which these sounds are deployed prevents the music from being put in that category. Plus there’s the aforementioned garnish that well and truly puts the music on a different playing field. Top form Sir/Madam Cloak.
