Daft Punk have cancelled their scheduled interview or performance on tonights episode of The Colbert Report following last weeks confirmation, leaving fans utterly gutted.

Only days out from filming Stephen Colbert was still making the most of the ‘Colbachella 2013’ show and including Daft Punk in all promotional updates.

Confusion began with a Reddit user claiming to have left a taping of the show saying Colbert told the audience Daft Punk would NOT be making an appearance due to a VMA conflict.

This leaves a strange taste for fans who’d argue Daft Punks management would have known the conflict with the VMA’s with a legally binding contract.
