Clubs Protest Against Russia’s Anti-Gay Laws

A handful of clubs have organised a collective rally against Russia’s new anti-gay laws. Berghain/Panorama in Berlin, New Yorks Output and Munich’s Harry Klein clubs have proposed dates for diversity parties in September.

The parties look to shed light on the recent and terrifying laws recently stated in Russian that have made it illegal to distribute information about homosexuality to anyone under the age of 18, yes even educational material.

A mailer from Ostgut Ton mailer states “Equality and tolerance are basic values that the club and music scene has always supported. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that the level of freedom we have achieved cannot be taken for granted, be it here or elsewhere.” The full admission charge for the night will be donated to All Out, an organisation that supports LGBT rights globally.”

The parties will run over the weekend of September 12th with lineup and opening times to be confirmed.
