Chase and Status arena tour: EDM takes over the world!

Chase and Status have just announced their first UK stadium tour with the duo playing 11 dates throughout the nation, reaching climatic proportions when they conclude at the 20,000 capacity London 02 Arena.

This is a big first for the producers and, following their huge headlining gig at Glastonbury, acts as a sign of even bigger things to  come.

Much like fellow UK artist Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs whose remixes include the likes of Lady Gaga, the duo have already collaborated with established mainstream artists like Rihanna, Example and Tinie Tempah, with their arena tour acting as a clear nod to UK dance music hitting the mainstream.

It also follows the news that french artist Madeon has produced the latest Two Door Cinema Club Track, showing the once clearly defined lines between dance and popular music are becoming more and more blurred.

The tour starts off at Nottingham Capital FM Arena on October 31 and will follow the release of the duo’s third album ‘Brand New Machine’ which goes on sale on October 7.

For the moment Chase and Status will be playing at this weekend’s Reading and Leeds Festival, but you can grab tickets to their tour as of 9am August 30 with the official pre-sale beginning at 9am August 28.

Nile Rodgers recently revealed he’s been working with the pair, read about it here.
