Who is the most blogged dance act of 2013?

question mark

BBC Radio 1 and Hypemachine have come together to crunch the numbers and figure out who exactly was the most blogged artist of 2013.

BBC Radio have released their ‘Half-Yearly Zeitgeist‘ for a special broadcast over the weekend along with internet blog taste maker Hypemachine.

Trawling through over 850 popular music blogs online it came down to just one and no it wasn’t French cosmonauts Daft Punk. It was another electronic duo Disclosure proving to be the biggest hit with the Parisians actually coming in at a cool number five.

Speaking out about taking the top spot Guy told BBC host Tom Robinson on air “It’s weird ‘cause me and Howard don’t really follow blogs too much cause it’s a bit scary,” adding. “[But] blogs are a huge reason Disclosure are in existence. We started out this whole thing by getting on a few blogs.”

Their debut record ‘Settle’ remains one of our most popular go-to’s for luscious electronic. The pair will also play Fuzzys newly launched ‘Listen Out’ parties in September/October that’ll also spot several other ‘IDM’ artists including AlunaGeorge, Duke Dumont, Classixx and John Talabot.
