Light Year: July Chart 2013

Light Year has gifted us his July Chart as a look into what the “Moderation” producer has been listening to and playing in his recent sets.

Everything from the abstract works of Mount Kimbie and Bibio to the harder club elements of George Fitzgerald and Glimpse are strewn together into a new consistent feature we hope to bring to Stoney Roads.

He’s currently back in Australia for a handful of dates including playing the just-passed Motorik 2nd birthday before heading back stateside for a stint upon Holy Ship with fellow ozzztralian wunder kid Flume.

Be on the look out for his collaborative track “A.D.S.R” with fellow partner Jensen Interceptor.

Get down!

1. Mount Kimbie – Made To Stray
Just discovered these guys. I love the percussion and groove in this track and the vocal that cools out at the end.

2. Blagger – Strange Behaviour (DJ Koze aka Swahimi Remix)
I’ve been getting right into Koze recently. This is an amazing remix.

3. George Fitzgerald – Nighttide Lover
A solid track for the dancefloor. Can’t go wrong with this…

4. Gingy & Bordello – Saturday Night Fervor
Another sick release from these boys, this is going to be played in my sets for the next few months.

5. Grown Folk – The Boat (Gerd’s Re-work)
I saw this dude play while i was in London and this blew the roof off.

6. Glimpse – True South
Full on low slung warehouse groove. I love this sort of stuff.

7. Benjamin Damage – 010x
Some euphoric Berlin style techno.

8. Bibio – You
I’ve been a big fan of Bibio for a while and this track off his most recent album is a great example of why…

9. Cajmere feat. Sonny Fodera – C02 Vapour
A sick track from one of my all time favourite producers Cajmere/Green Velvet off his latest LP

10. Flight Facilities – I Didn’t Believe (Light Year Remix)
This is my most recent remix of my mates Flight Facilities!
