Always a shape-shifter, Luca Venezia digs deeper into his ever-elusive Curses! identity with a new EP just released on Marble Music. So Good is crafted in the spirit of what Venezia dubs “New Gotham House,” a far cry from the light-hearted rock-a-billy style he explored as Drop The Lime a few years ago. His sophisticated NYC grit shines through either moniker, but it’s obvious Curses! is back in a big way.

With the EP’s title track “So Good” he explores classic, dancefloor house vibes, while “Deep In The Night” drips with the ghoulish ethos of Trouble & Bass. The techno-infused “Deep In The Night” is apparently a collaboration conceived in Paris, the home of Marble Music, with Surkin, Para One and Canblaster.
