Burning Man festival announces further expansion.
Globally revered electronic festival Burning Man looks to expand its capacity for next years festivities.
Following on from an increase on last years attendance numbers of 56,000 came the jump to a cool 68,000 this year. The Nevada desert based festival had recently been granted a ‘recreation’ permit from the federal land managers to further increase the overall size.
Government Seidlitz said “Our priorities in managing this permit continue to be the protection and conservation of natural and cultural resources, as well as the safety for all participants and staffs.”
The heavily territorial and guarded tickets will now look to be open to a wider audience, some that locals and veteran attendees will not be pleased about.
Burning Man takes place August 26th through to September 2nd. Watch videos of Jamie Jones, Lee Burridge and Damien Lazarus from Burning Man 2012 here.
