HDB073 finds an incredible grime producer soundclashing with a UK funky legend on one of the UK’s premier labels –  a development that’s far more encouraging than surprising. Champion‘s work, a funky stalwart who actually works with Terror Danjah’s Hardrive label, can clearly be heard over the 6 tracks, while Terror Danjah has grown increasingly colorful with his beats, considering grime as a continuously comprehensive, adventurous, and straight-up playful genre rather than singularly underground.

This release is massive; it’s easily one of the best I’ve heard in the past few weeks and adds yet another promising inclusion to the label’s already impressive catalogue.
