Snakehips have had some seriously smooth lurve jams featured in our Stoney Charts courtesy of Joe and Hi, but this one’s more likely to get your head banging than your bed. A perfect rnb vocal chop rides over the top of a pounding bottom end that combines a kick drum with some synthesised horns. The horn/kick combo smashes into you incessantly, only held together by some hats and clicks.

‘Make It’ is almost a poor man’s version of Hudson Mohawke’s ‘Thunder Bay’, and it’s nothing like the rest of Snakehips’ stuff. However it’s still worth some alone time with your ears if only as a misleading but attention-capturing introduction to the brilliant music of Snakehips.
