Out today on Anjunabeats’ sub-label Anjunadeep comes Erkka’s two-track EP featuring Excommunication and Air Conditioner. Erkka is a Finnish producer and one half of the Komytea duo, but like many producers before him the bug has bit him to venture off on his own. Anjunadeep has been showcasing some serious quality in recent times, working as an alternative to the trance-driven Anjunabeats imprint run by Above & Beyond.

This release is typical of the label, presenting the growing popularity of deep house as part of dance music (despite it being round for decades). The EP is a quality example of the deeper end of the pool — incorporating not just a punchy bassline but also thoughtful melodic elements and vocals.
