Out July 22, Crypt will release his next EP titled Feel You digitally and as a limited 12″ on Nineteen89 Records.
Following well-received EPs from Rumah and Metrist, Nineteen89’s third release is a high-energy, uplifting garage EP aimed straight at the dancefloor, effortlessly combining old-school technique with modern production. Track #2 Don’t Look Back is a sub-heavy roller with hypnotic vocals and sinister ambience, while Visions is the darkest of the three cuts, with crunchy percussion and warped bassline. With releases on Four40 Records and Get Some! Records, Crypt’s early productions were heavily influenced by the movement of dubstep, especially from the dark 2-step garage sound that first emerged from early FWD events at London’s Plastic People. Fragments of these early influences remain in his productions, blended with the various sounds and textures that have infiltrated the ever evolving UK electronic music scene.
