80’s synthpop legends Pet Shop Boys are set to release a new album this July entitled “Electric”. The music video for the leading track of the album “Axis” has just been dropped! If this track is any indication of the style of the entire album, I think most people will be well pleased.

The video features psychedelic graphics and dancers in bison skull headdresses that sync up perfectly with the feel of the track. The track itself is a heavy slice of intense italo disco with a modern flair, accented by PSB’s vocals. For me, this immediately brings to mind the feel of Kris Menace’s track “Falling Star”. But no, Kris did not produce this. The album was produced by the legendary Stuart Price!
