The Aston Shuffle, who originally shot to popularity through their take on modern and french electro in the mid to late 2000’s have had an interesting journey which has seen them evolve more recently across to indie dance. Although not a lot has been revealed on the new LP set for later this year, a sure sign we could be up for something special is the fact that they have already secured distribution deals in the UK and US of A!

According to TheMusic, the two deals include Outsiders/Polydor looking after the release of their material in the UK (innit), while Casablanca/Universal Republic will be making sure their sound is booming across the go-to market in the US.

Although the Aussie duo’s releases have been limited as of late, they’re still as busy as ever. In fact, with a full time national radio show at Triple J titled ‘The Friday Night Shuffle’ and the largely unspoken of LP in the works, it’s been battle stations all along!

Fans won’t have much longer to wait with their brand new single in collaboration with Tommy Trash titled ‘Sunrise (Won’t Get Lost)’ set to be released through EMI this Friday! Take a listen. Are the duo turning back the clock to their roots or taking a new direction?
