Opinionated Oasis band member Liam Gallagher had plenty to say about Daft Punk’s new material during an interview on Sony’s MU streaming service.
After the French duo just sold over 600,000 copies of their first single ‘Get Lucky’ on Random Access Memories, Gallagher wasted no time in giving his thoughts: “I’d write that in a f***ing hour. I don’t know what the fuss is about, you know what I mean? It’s like f**k off, give me a f**king break.”
That was not the only thing that worked Mr. Gallagher up. What about those bloody disguises?! This is what he had to say: “I am not going to have people wear disguises. Take your f***ing helmet off. Let’s see what you look like sans helmet, whatever you’re called.” I think I sense a hint of jealousy?
On the question of remixes of ‘Get Lucky,’ Thomas Bangalter told BBC radio1: “We’re working on some mixes ourselves. So, yes, there will probably be Daft Punk mixes of Daft Punk. Usually, we never mix ourseleves, that’s something we feel we’re interested in doing this time.”
