Nom De Strip produces track on Kylie Minogue’s forthcoming LP

LA based electro producer Nom De Strip has helped out Aussie compatriot Kylie Minogue with a single titled ‘Skirt’ on her set to be released album.

The track that has been redone to cater for the pop princess was originally produced alongside Bones and title ‘Shake and Bake’ – A heavy yet kinky electro bangor that Minogue must have seen the opportunity to sex-ify even more with her cheeky image.

I believe the original is better than the Minogue added element because the melodic sections with Kylie’s vocals transitions it from a forward thinking electro track back to an EDM bracketed money maker made for the US market. The only positive I can draw from this is Nom De Strip has worked hard to get this exposure and will get the popularity that he deserves. This is essentially his big break with 120,000 plays racked up in 12 hours which he joked was over a third of his total plays from the last three years!

Which version do you believe is better?
