Deadboy’s Total Fantasy Debut Release

Total Fantasy

Earlier this month South London’s Deadboy launched his new label, Total Fantasy. A huge step for the producer who had been almost completely silent during 2012, the imprint’s conception is what he calls “a vanity project so I can make really nice looking records,” featuring his own work outside of the Deadboy moniker, as well as productions from other artists he’s handpicked to join him.

The self-titled debut release from BØNE SQUAD is executed with a pitch-dark but still dancefloor friendly style that matches the macabre Deadboy ethos, and has been described as “grime, hardcore, and bashment channeling the harsh aesthetics of black metal.” BØNE SQUAD’s psilocybin-inspired video offers a glimpse into the release’s playfully occult nature of “grim kvlt uk rave,” with previews of four cuts from the inaugural 12″.
