Close is the alias of underground pioneer Will Saul, label head to both Simple Records and Aus Music. Released on !K7 Records, “My Way” is hypnotic, dripping with the kind of soulful melody that characterizes Saul’s Close project. The Tanner Ross & Slow Hands remix version is a dreamier exploration of the blues-infused original; slowed down and deeply emotive, it showcases Joe Dukie’s gorgeous voice in breathtaking fashion. “My Way” is the second single off of Close’s debut album Getting Closer, due for release June 11th on !K7.

Saul commented on the inception of this evolutionary production, which has also been reinvented at the hands of Midland and Dusky:

“For me Joe Dukie has one of the best voices on the planet so it was a bit of dream come true to get to work with him. I worked with Fink in his studio in Brighton where we recorded his band (drummer and bass player) – the instrumental is all live and one take. We then sent this over to Dallas (Joe Dukie) and he sent back his vocals. Midland and Dusky are part of my core crew at Aus and really hitting their stride at the moment so natural choices for remixers for this single.”
