Cable Nightclub Forced to Close Down

One of London’s leading and most popular nightclubs has been permanently closed down due to ongoing legal issues with Network Rail.

Cable nightclub – that has welcomed the likes of Diplo, Shogun and Krafty Kuts as headlines in the past- was ordered to shut down in the early hours of this morning when representatives of Network Rail took possession of the venue in order to begin redevelopment of London Bridge Station.

This devastating news was delivered to the public via the Cable Official Facebook page, and is putting an end to two years of legal battles between Cable and Network Rail.

Cable provided a letter describing what had occured, as well as images of Network Rail physically cutting through the venue door on their Facebook page, as shown below.

The Cable team stated in their post that:

“It is an utterly devastating blow to what is a much loved, hugely successful, well respected music venue and media business…

This is not only a huge loss to the loyal fans and staff of Cable, but to London’s clubbing community as a whole…”

Cable Nightclub has been a large part of the London dance music scene since its forming in 2009, and it is with great devastation to see the club shutting down. More information will be provided by a full press release that is yet to be announced.
