There are times when it’s hard to find the right words to describe a song, simply because the experience of listening to it goes far beyond the realm of spoken language. If you were to listen to the original version of Matrixxman’s “God Created The Beat” featuring Mykki Blanco, you’d probably be as shocked as I was at how differently Physical Theraphy’s “Dub from Heaven” rendition turned out. Not to say that the original isn’t great, but Physical Therapy took it to another level of sound entirely.

Just released on Sinden’s Grizzly label, the “God Created The Beat” track package also features a remix from JD-Twitch, along with a Matrixxman Groove Mix, as Mykki Blanco — the provocative cross-dressing rapper — spices it up with his/her sassy vocals. But I think it’s obvious that Physical Therapy’s production prowess trumps all the other versions — from the ethereal synths to the tribal grunts and gasps, it’s aural poetry.
