Kid Cudi leaves Kanye West’s label G.O.O.D Music

In a recent interview with L.A.’s Power 106 radio station, Kid Cudi announced to his fans and the listeners that he is no longer a member of the Kanye West label G.O.O.D. Music.

The producer/ rapper / singer who most noticeably got famous for his track Day N Nite that was remixed by Crookers in their prime made it clear that it was a business decision and stressed that there is no beef with anyone on the label.

Cudi went into detail on his anxiety and hesitation in leaving the label because of his close relationship with Kanye – “I never wanted to offend him, and I didn’t know how he would take it, and I was like, ‘Man, I do not want to make my brother mad,” but after seeking advice from none other than Jay Z who gave him the advice “I hear it in your tone that it’s genuine and everything that you’re saying to me, how you’re saying it. I know Kanye. I know he’ll be receptive to that. I know he’ll honor it.”

Cudi was on the radio show to promote his third LP ‘Indicud’ and is set to launch on April 23 2013 – Expect appearances on the album from Kendrick Lamar and even Michael Bolton!

So what do you think Kid Cudi’s new direction will be?
