Electronic Veteran Brian Eno Composes Music For…

Hospitals. How fitting.

The veteran music producer has composed two beautifully crafted pieces for a hospital in Hove, Montefiore as The Independent reports.

The first “Quiet Room For Montefiore” welcomes patients, visitors and staff in the downstairs waiting area while “77 Million Paintings For Montefiore” creates a constantly modulating soundscape using Eno’s ‘generative music’ system.

Studies have shown that music and art can “produce improved psychological, physiological and biological outcomes of clinical significance in patient care.”

Other hospitals have expressed interest in the compositions. Eno’s previous work included “Music For Airports” that you can stream below.

Brian Eno recently appeared on James Blakes newy ‘Overgrown’ LP.
