Diplo’s Manager and DJ BL3NDS Manager fist fight at IMS Conference

In a strange brain snap, Diplo’s manager Kevin Kusatsu and DJ BL3NDS manager Steven Haddad came to blows at this years IMS Conference.

The conference was touching on Social Media tactics when Diplo, who was panelling the event hinted that DJ BL3ND may have purchased a good chunk of his 133K Twitter followers and over 3 million ‘likes’ – a strange occurrence considering he’d “only played a string of shows in the OC” according to Diplo.

BL3NDs manager Steven who was sitting in the audience rebutted saying his artist had played and sold out shows in other states including New York when Diplo’s manager Kevin told him to “shut up” – a good way to look for some butt kicking!

Diplo graciously backtracked and said he’d enjoyed BL3NDs early videos and continued the panel until the end. The two managers came together for a civil chat which turned into a heated discussion which then eventuated into a fist fight!

It’s unsure who started what but it’s definitely a hot topic within a world where Facebook ‘likes’ and Twitter ‘followers’ can sway show bookings and fees.

We’ve touched on this twice with ‘Producers Buying Fake Facebook Fans” and the underwhelming response by Facebook to ‘Crackdown on Fake Facebook Likes’ that barely dented any dance/electronic music stars.

As it stands Diplo has a cool 400,000 ‘likes’ while DJ BL3NDs page see’s the good side of 3,000,000… what do you think?

IMS is the Ibiza International Music Conference headed by Pete Tong and is regarded as the worlds most revered global music industry event.
