While in Miami last week we crossed paths with the emerging progressive powerhouse of Cr2 Records led by boss MYNC. The group of mainstage favorites have been taking the decks by storm across the globe with big room tunes rivialing any headliner. Years in the making, Cr2 has released some of EDM’s biggest names, now it’s time for the guys who laid the framework to step into the spotlight. Posted up at South Beach party spot the Clevelander, Cr2 worked and partied just steps from the waves of the Atlantic. Having recently released their Miami compilation we sat down with the group to talk about their move toward the main stage.

At three points of the Cr2 triangle MYNC, Nari & Milani, and R3hab have teamed up to form a big house crusade with tracks rivaling any of the label massives. Sure they don’t have the backing as Spinnin, Armada, and other famous dance outlets, but the trio of friends are putting out tunes played consistently in the big show all over the world.

In a pristine setting overlooking the sands of South Beach the Cr2 team spoke of the direction of dance, studio work, and their latest compilation, all while downing Miami’s famous fishbowl cocktails. Since Mark Brown (MYNC) began the label in 04′ they have released the top talent such as Prydz & Angello, coined classic tracks like the 2006 smash hit by The Egg-Walking Away, and partnered with some of the most famous brands, synonymous with everything dance. With heavy representaion in Ibiza, Brasil, Australia, and more, Cr2 is heading toward the electronic record books 1 chart topper at a time.
