Skream flips out at Boiler Room SXSW showcase, gives away CDJ

British bruiser Skream has flipped out at SXSW after having his DJ set cut short, even going as far as to giving out one of the CDJ2000’s to the crowd in protest!

It all went down at the Boiler Room x Red Bull SXSW showcase that boasted an all-beat crew made up of Shlohmo, Mount Kimbie, Chief Keef, Lunice and a special Baauer b2b RL Grime set.

With Skream rounding out the night it was disappointing to see the sound cut and what looked like utter confusion! With everything muted including the mic, Skream eventually stands on the desk shrugging and then steps down and then begins starts unplugging the CDJ2000 and eventually hands it out to the crowd.

Action kicks off around the 4:00 minute mark – reports claim Skream was in the red on the mixer so was eventually cut off it was also noted though that the CDJ was recovered before making it too far!

Cool or not cool?

Other drama ensured with TEED giving SXSW the thumbs down and one aggressive punter getting KO’d vigilante style.
