Satin Jackets has proven time and time again that he is pure, silky smooth class. And when an artist releases a nearly 9 minute long track, it signifies a couple of things: integrity, confidence, and nonconformity. Satin Jackets is clearly supremely confident and at ease in what he’s doing and people are noticing. Out now on the always mint Eskimo Records, last year’s ethereal and unexpected hit, “You Make Me Feel Good”, was given an introspective, deep reworking by SJ. The result is pure bliss. It’s simply refreshing to see an artist withzero desire to sacrifice his sound for more airplay or cheap buzz. In a world filled with Pitbulls, Harlem Shakes, and Azaelia Banksys, we can be grateful for breaths of pure, fresh air like this.
