Porter Robinson rejects doing remix for ‘uninspiring’ Pop Star track

In a recent candid interview, American electro house producer Porter Robinson revealed that he turned down a remix for a pop star after being completely uninspired when listening to the track.

The OWSLA signed artist who was recently voted America’s sixth top DJ in the countries top fifty commented to Mixmag on turning down a remix of a new Katy Perry track – “I turned down doing a remix for Katy Perry and all the headlines read, ‘Porter sticks to his dance roots’ – but I’m not sure I have dance roots. The track just didn’t inspire me.”

The traditionally hard sounding production or Mr Robinson may be in for a twist after he spoke of bands he is trying to work with including “Two Door Cinema Club and a Canadian band called Stars.” – He continued “I’m trying to collaborate with a lot of people from that world on this album.” The new album is yet to have a release date but we are predicting it will be towards the end of 2013.
