Korg MS-20 Mini Is The Real MS-20, At The Fraction Of Price

If you think that analog is dead, think again. Korg have, much to our delight, announced the release of Korg MS-20 Mini during the NAMM show earlier this year. Despite dubbed the “Mini”, it’s actually the real thing: an uber cool, semi-modular patchable mono synth that comes at the fraction of price, size and weight of the original. The keys does seem to be a bit smaller but I don’t see this as a problem at all. As a modern product, it’s also free from typical maintenance nightmares usually found when you buy a 20-30 year old vintage hardware unit. So if you’re getting it for practical reasons (like… making music), I don’t see why you should go with the old ones. These babies should hit the store somewhere around April at USD599 retail price.
