Skrillex squashes Al Walser’s Grammy Dreams, sweeps dance/electronica awards!

Skrillex has crushed Al Walser’s Grammy dreams by beating the unusual nominee for ‘Best Dance Recording’ at this years awards.

Al Walser warranted a lot of attention for his nomination in the category after claims of vote rigging which saw him facing off against global heavyweights Avicii, Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia and Calvin Harris.

It was also noted that there was a deafening silence when Al’s name was announced during the award.

Skrillex then went forth to immediately take out the ‘Best Dance/Electronica’ prize for “Bangarang” as well as ‘Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical’ making him the Lance Armstrong of the dance world (good chance of ‘doping’ too).

It was also interesting to hear Kaskade give a shout-out to all his dance friends friends. “It really wasn’t that long ago that nobody knew who we were,” while presenting the video game soundtrack award.

This brings Skrillex’s Grammy loot to a total of 6. What’s next?
