Sydney, Australia’s Field Day 2013 went beyond the call of duty to extend the festival and cater for a closing performance from the UK’s Hot Chip.
In a logistical nightmare scenario, it has been revealed important equipment for Hot Chip’s live performance was lost in shipment to Sydney which in turn forced the band to do a DJ set at their allocated time.
In never say die attitude, Field Day organisers worked quickly to extend the festival by an hour to cater for one hell of a closing set, taking on Sydney’s infamously expensive inner city noise restriction costs for the love of music. What. a. day!
