In a recent interview with Billboard, Afrojack has spoken in detail about how he plays his DJ sets, taking aim at famed progressive-electro producer Deadmau5 who late last year commented about the “button pushing” in modern DJing.

The Dutch producer who once dated Hilton heiress Paris Hilton (and subsequently burned her DJing skills) explained why himself and other EDM artists don’t just simply push buttons at gigs.

“Deadmau5 also said himself he’s not a DJ — don’t talk about stuff you don’t know about. I don’t know shit about LED walls and giant mouse heads; I can’t judge it. But if you put four CD players in front of me or [Sebastian Ingrosso] or even Skrillex, we’ve been DJ’ing for so long, we can do a lot of things with those CD players.”

Ironically Afrojack will push a few buttons with that comment, get your flame suit on buddy.
